Organization Background
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields are becoming increasingly crucial for the economy and the future, but girls or any teenagers who are outcast or judged as non-stereotypical STEM-types are frequently underrepresented in preparing for entering these fields. These biases continue to be significant impediments to their advancement in STEM, and they often face discrimination and have less access to critical resources, opportunities, and role models.
Although several STEM-related organizations have been created to support "STEM girls," we discovered a lack of a casual but close community in which genuine personal connections could be developed. The organization is working to close this gap.

Online Community & Forum
STEM & ROSE relies heavily on internet networking and forums. STEM & ROSE intends to develop its own branded, stand-alone online forum and leverage other digital means and channels, such as Discord, to boost member engagement. These activities promote community building by fostering connectivity, making new members feel welcome, and nurturing the growth of a vibrant and robust community. The online forum and community are also where members know they will receive help and support, and everyone is ready to assist when required.
Newsletters
STEM & ROSE was founded to foster a community where people can openly share their thoughts, opinions, and personal interests. A regularly published newsletter is a great way to keep our members engaged while also providing a platform for them to share their stories and ideas. It is also essential to provide timely updates to our members to feel more involved and engaged.
Virtual / Local Events
Other potential programs offered by STEM & ROSE may include online webinars with speakers such as STEM & ROSE community members and STEM role models, online and offline social events, and co-hosted local or online events with organizations with similar interests.
